Scontify is new coupon service based on social sharing. Italian entrepreneur Nicola Ballotta talks about his new startup Scontify:
Q: What is Scontify and how does it work?
A: Scontify is a new coupon service with the aim of giving benefits to both – business owners and people using coupons. With Scontify any user will gain access to a big archive of digital and printable coupons. Scontify differs from other services because it’s based on social sharing. Every user who wants redeem a coupon must share the the deal on their favorite social network. If you are a business owner who would like to advertize business this way, you will pay a small subscription based on the number of social shares per month.
Q: Could you tell us something more about your background?
A: I’m a serial entrepreneur. I have 15+ years of technical experience (design, software development, system administration) and 8+ years of business experience. I’ve previously founded an Italian web agency called Saidmade (sold after 5 years) and wpXtreme, a US startup developing WordPress software. With wpXtreme I’ve raised about $200k and I can say we have achieved important goals. Scontify is my last love and was born from a top team of designers and developers. I like the idea of giving people a new way of saving money and that’s why I joined this project.

Q: What is your main goal at the moment?
A: We have two main goals at the moment: find business owners interested in publishing coupons with Scontify and find a first round of investment to implement our marketing strategy.
Q: When do you plan to launch it and what are your plans for the future?
A: At the and of June we will be ready with our first beta version, after that we plan to launch tons of improvements and new features.
