Outmarket AI closed a $34.5 million Series B led by SignalFire, just four months after its Series A, valuing the AI insurance workflow platform at roughly $335 million.
Outmarket AI raised a $34.5 million Series B, led by SignalFire, with participation from Fika Ventures, Permanent Capital Ventures, TTV Capital, and Dash Fund. The round values the company at approximately $335 million and brings total capital raised to about $56.5 million.
The financing closed just four months after a $17 million Series A (led by Permanent Capital Ventures with the same core investors plus industry executives). Earlier, the company raised a seed round of roughly $4.66–4.7 million in March 2025. The rapid successive raises reflect strong traction rather than capital scarcity.
What is Outmarket AI?
Founded in late 2023 by Vishal Sankhla (CEO, previously product lead at Ethos and roles at Facebook/Meta and Uber) and Anshu Jain (CTO, with deep experience in large scale machine learning and data systems at firms including IBM), Outmarket builds an AI operating layer purpose built for insurance agencies and brokers. Headquartered in San Francisco, it targets the persistent manual, document heavy workflows that dominate insurance distribution, especially commercial lines, where policies can involve 250+ coverage types, complex applications, and high stakes documentation.

The platform integrates bi-directionally with major agency management systems (Applied Epic, Vertafore AMS360, HawkSoft, Nexsure, ImageRight) and common tools (Outlook, Gmail, SharePoint, Google Drive, OneDrive). It unifies structured AMS data with unstructured documents (quotes, policies, contracts, loss runs, ACORD forms) to power end to end workflows:
- Quote comparison and advanced policy review
- Coverage gap analysis and tower analysis
- Contract/lease requirement checking
- Proposal Builder (generates client ready proposals in minutes)
- Loss-run extraction and analysis
- Certificates of Insurance automation (newly launched with the Series B: reads contract requirements, cross checks policies, flags gaps, and produces completed certificates)
- Employee benefits renewals, benchmarking, and proposals
- Custom workflow builder, data intelligence layer (natural language queries over the agency’s book), ACORD form filling, and more
It operates under enterprise grade security: single tenant architecture, zero data retention for training, SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, HIPAA-ready, and GDPR/PIPEDA support. Customer-reported outcomes include 12–15 hours saved per person per week, ~65% reduction in errors and omissions exposure, 4–6% revenue growth through better win rates and cross sell, and 10x scaling of expertise (newer producers operating with veteran level rigor).
Since launching its current product roughly 14 months before the Series B, Outmarket has scaled to more than 300 agency customers (including over 25% of the top 100 U.S. insurance agencies) and surpassed 10,000 active users. The company expanded its team across engineering, insurance operations, and customer success. Earlier Series A disclosures noted fivefold year over year ARR growth and processing of millions of insurance documents.
The U.S. property and casualty market alone exceeds $1 trillion in annual premiums, with the vast majority of insurance still distributed through human agents and brokers. Manual processes, fragmented systems, and rising complexity (cyber, climate, social inflation, new AI related exposures) create clear demand for an intelligence layer that sits above existing AMS tools rather than another point solution.

How will Outmarket AI use the funds?
Proceeds will accelerate the product roadmap, deepen AMS and carrier integrations, expand the team, and extend capabilities to carriers later in 2026. The longer term vision is a connected market in which information moves between agencies and carriers without manual handoffs, turning fragmented data into a single intelligence layer that agencies can run their businesses on. New Certificates of Insurance automation, enhanced benefits tools, and the data intelligence platform illustrate the ongoing expansion of workflow coverage.
Outmarket competes in the emerging “AI operating layer for insurance brokerages” category. Peers include Fulcrum AI and FurtherAI, among others focused on underwriting, intake, policy checking, or specific document automation. Outmarket differentiates through breadth across commercial, benefits, personal, and specialty lines; deep bi-directional AMS integrations; a custom workflow builder that customers increasingly use to encode their own playbooks; and measurable agency side outcomes (time savings, E&O reduction, revenue lift). The category remains early, with capital concentrating on distribution/back office automation rather than pure risk underwriting.
SignalFire partner Tony Pezzullo highlighted the company’s exceptional execution and market share capture in a complex vertical, positioning Outmarket as the clear leader setting the standard for how agencies will operate in an “intelligence era.” The same investor group has backed the company across rounds, and earlier rounds attracted checks from agency networks, owners, and industry executives, signaling practitioner validation.
The raise fits a broader pattern of capital flowing into specialized, vertical AI platforms that deliver immediate operational ROI in large, document intensive industries. Insurance’s combination of scale, complexity, regulatory weight, and historically under digitized workflows makes it a high conviction target. Outmarket’s ability to raise a sizable Series B so soon after its Series A, at a strong valuation, underscores both product market fit and investor confidence in its trajectory toward becoming the default AI layer for insurance distribution.
