Cyera Raises $400 Million In Series G Extension Funding

Cyera secured a $400 million Series G extension from Goldman Sachs Alternatives, holding its valuation above $12 billion to advance AI agent security and international growth.

Cyera’s latest $400 million funding is an extension of its Series G round. It comes from Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives and values the company at over $12 billion. This follows the primary Series G close of $600 million in June 2026 (led by Evolution Equity Partners, with participation from Cyberstarts, Temasek, and existing investors), also at a $12 billion valuation. The extension keeps the valuation flat rather than marking it up further.

This brings Cyera’s 2026 fundraising total to approximately $1.4 billion ($400 million Series F in January at a $9 billion valuation led by Blackstone, plus the $600 million Series G primary, plus this $400 million extension) and cumulative capital raised to more than $2 billion (some reports cite over $2.7 billion). Valuation has scaled rapidly: roughly $3 billion in late 2024, $6 billion in mid 2025, $9 billion in early 2026, and $12 billion+ by mid to late 2026.

How will Cyera use the funds?

The capital supports three primary priorities: advancing the AI security product roadmap, deeper expansion into the U.S. federal market, and international growth across EMEA and APAC. Cyera is positioning itself as the trust layer for the “agentic enterprise”, securing not only sensitive data but also the AI agents and non human identities that access and act on it.

Key recent moves include:

  • Completion of the approximately $1 billion acquisition of Oasis Security (announced mid 2026, closed around early September 2026). Oasis specializes in non human identity and agentic access management, enabling Cyera to connect data location/sensitivity with which agents, machines, or identities can reach it.
  • Launch of products such as Agent Guardian (inventorying agents, detecting over privileged access or vulnerabilities, applying policies, and blocking/quarantining risky actions) and Cyera Endpoint (monitoring agents on employee devices to prevent unauthorized data loading or exfiltration).
  • Broader platform capabilities spanning Data Security Posture Management (DSPM), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), privacy, identity governance, and AI specific guardrails (e.g., monitoring LLM inputs, training datasets, and automated workflows).

The company emphasizes that AI infrastructure is advancing faster than surrounding security architecture, creating demand for unified data + identity controls so enterprises can scale agents with confidence while aligning access to business intent.

Cyera, founded in 2021 and headquartered in New York, describes itself as an AI native data security platform that discovers, classifies, and protects sensitive data across cloud, SaaS, hybrid, and on-premises environments, now extended to agentic AI. It reports securing data and AI for about 20% of Fortune 500 companies (spanning financial services, retail, media/entertainment, healthcare, technology, and telecom), with named customers including Paramount, Chipotle, and Valvoline.

Workforce has grown to more than 1,500 employees across roughly 15–18 countries. The company has completed multiple acquisitions (including Oasis, Ryft, Genie, and earlier Trail Security for DLP capabilities) to deepen the platform. Revenue growth has been strong, with earlier reports of more than 3x ARR increases in recent periods and ARR surpassing $150 million around the time of the June 2026 raise (though the company has operated at a loss while investing heavily in growth and product).

Investors in the broader Series G and prior rounds include Evolution Equity Partners, Goldman Sachs Alternatives, Blackstone, Accel, Coatue, Cyberstarts, Georgian, Lightspeed, Sequoia, Spark Capital, Temasek, AT&T Ventures, and others. The Goldman Sachs participation is described as strategic, reflecting institutional conviction in AI security as a defining enterprise category over the next decade.

This round ranks among the larger cybersecurity raises in its window and underscores heavy capital flows into AI related security. Cyera has moved from traditional DSPM leadership into a more comprehensive platform addressing the explosion of non human identities and autonomous agents. The flat valuation on the extension, combined with continued large raises and a major acquisition, signals sustained investor appetite amid rapid enterprise AI adoption, even as the company prioritizes product velocity, geographic expansion, and federal opportunities over near term profitability.
