Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?
A: Petra Island Tours is a unique experience. We are a family run business in the heart of the Hudson Valley, NY. We share semi private guided tours of our 11acre heart shaped island, which is home to two Frank Lloyd Wright designed homes. We take you through the original cottage and share the story of how we became owners of the island, followed by a tour of the main house and the story of the hurdles we had to conquer in order to bring this house to life. It’s a unique story in a beautiful setting.
Q: What makes you the best choice? How are you unique?
A: Our tour is unlike any other house tour you may have been on. There are no ropes blocking you out of rooms, we invite you to sit on our couches, take in our views, immerse your selves in our home, then we boat you back to reality.
Q: Who is your ideal client and why?
A: Our ideal client is one who appreciates architectural beauty and understands the determination and ingenuity it took to build such a home on this location.
Q: What can we expect from you in next 6 months? What are your plans?
A: We are a seasonal company, running tours from June – October. Aside from tours, we host a few Wellness Day retreats on the island and next season we are hoping to introduce Music on the Lawn events.
Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?
A: There are only 4 of us, My parents and sister who you will meet on the tour, and myself that does all the non-tour related stuff. When you call or email our company to ask a question, you are always talking with one of the owners!
