Q: What is Feedbac?
A: Feedbac is a SaaS product and allows teams that create video to collaborate. The number one goal of Feedbac is to help teams get their video out of production and in front of their audience…we say Feedbac helps teams avoid production purgatory.
Q: Where did you get the idea for the feedbac?
A: We are actually an animation studio. Our studio, A Sullivan Studio has been animating together for about 5 years and collaborating on a project, whether in the studio or with clients (because they are a part of the team too!) was a nightmare before we had Feedbac. We would get 50 different email threads with video edits and different attachments…we knew there had to be a more efficient way, and that’s how Feedbac was born.
Q: What’s your favorite feature?
A: My favorite feature is annotation. Yes, Feedbac is powerful and not merely review software (because it does allow you to assign annotations making them tasks and then add files and chat about the tasks all in real-time), but I still get excited every time I mark up one of our videos. Remembering how I used to take screenshots/ go back and forth trying to explain the changes needed… every time I write a note I just feel like it truly breathes life and structure into a process that was so incredibly frustrating.
Q: How did the your team meet? Could you present your team?
A: There are three Co-Founders. My husband and I who run our animation studio and our CTO who we met online while looking for a technical person to help us with client work. We actually worked together for a year and a half before deciding that instead of building other peoples’ dreams… we needed to build our own.
Q: What are your plans for the future?
A: Our plans for the future include continuing to focus on Feedbac to make it a useful tool for production teams across the globe. As video becomes more and more of a focus online and off, brands really need to communicate, and our tool helps them do that.
Other than building Feedbac to be an amazing part of the production process, we plan to use it to hopefully create an Oscar-worthy short. If our studio doesn’t make it to the Oscars, hopefully another studio that uses Feedbac will :).
Q: How would you convince the reader to start using Feedbac?
A: If you make video, you know that collaboration is a headache. Presenting your video then receiving twenty different vague opinions on what needs to be changed in twenty different ways (email, skype, phone calls…) hampers both the creative process and the ultimate goal of getting your video done. Use Feedbac to eliminate that headache. Keep collaboration right where it should be… on top of your video by assigning tasks, adding files, and chatting about edits all in once place. As we always say… Feedbac helps teams avoid production purgatory!
