An Interview With The ProLift Rigging Company President And CEO Jesse Taylor

Listen to this article

Below is our recent interview with Jesse Taylor, President and CEO at The ProLift Rigging Company:

Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to ProLift Rigging Company?

A: Founded in 2019, The ProLift Rigging Company is an emerging player in the industrial services sector specializing in the lifting, movement, and storage of oversized/overweight, high-value, mission-critical machinery and construction materials.

We are far more than a crane and rigging company as we assist our clients and partners with a full portfolio of services. We are unique in the marketplace as we are motivated more by being the “right fit” for a client than just closing a sale. We have become known for the questions we ask prior to starting a job, as well as working problems through to determine more options for lifting methods, equipment usage and other solutions.

Q: Can you give us more insights into what sets ProLift Rigging apart from competitors?

A:

  1. We are interested in helping our clients achieve their project goals. We are not trying to sell a set solution or shoe-horn a solution that doesn’t fit our client’s challenge. ProLift’s goal is to provide customized solutions and build lasting, trusting relationships with our clients—based on our client’s needs…we might not be the right option for every project, but for the projects where we are the right option, we want our clients to want to work with us.
  2. The second major differentiator is that ProLift focuses on local philanthropy. We have local teams in each of our branches dedicated to selecting and implementing philanthropic activities. We take our profits and reinvest them in the communities where we work and live.
  3. The third differentiator is our focus on solutions. We have in-house project management and engineering, which allows us to look at projects from a different perspective. Unlike many players in this industry, we are not looking to keep expensive equipment operating 24/7—we are looking for the best solutions, and the best way we can achieve this goal is by providing the client with options and different methods to choose from.

Q: Do you have any recent announcements, updates, or developments at your firm that you’d like to share (if any)?

A: We recently earned an ISO Certification in Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001:2015) and a certification in OHSM Safety Systems (45001:2018). Additionally, ProLift Rigging was proud to take home two safety awards from the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association (SC&RA), including The Crane & Rigging Group Safety Award and The Group Safety Improvement Award

Q: Can you give us insights into what ProLift Rigging Company does and the services you provide?

Powered by a rapidly expanding network of locations across North America, ProLift delivers a full suite of solutions that range from traditional crane and rigging, warehousing and storage, and machinery moving services to logistics management, heavy-haul transport, project buffering, and integration.

Q: What can we expect from ProLift Rigging in the next 6 months, year, five years down the road?

A: We have a growing network of branches, including new branches in Toronto, Austin, and Manassas, which we’ve added in the past 3 months. We also have one in Atlanta opening in Q2 2024.

Additionally, we are increasing our capabilities. This includes adding new equipment and more employees, as well as adding to a growing number of branches. We are at 400+ employees now, a marked increase of almost 100 more than we had this time last year.

ProLift is also expanding into new vertical markets. This includes creating solutions for BESS unit storage in the energy sector, providing over-the-road heavy-haul logistics management services for the oil and gas industry, providing clean-room machine installations for pharmaceutical and food service industries, and even making technological improvements in the form of reporting and analytics capabilities.

We are also expanding our philanthropic initiatives by focusing on our local volunteerism programs and supporting local charitable giving opportunities through our branch network.

Q: What are some of the main objectives for ProLift Rigging in the year ahead and how do you plan to achieve them?

A: In the year ahead, we plan to:

  • Bolster our resume in the renewable energy vertical – performing more projects in the sector and writing case studies.
  • Introduce our partner-company supply chain management solution (BluePrint Supply Chain) to more of national customers to help them control their construction supply chains and accelerate their project timelines.
  • Work with more manufacturers to strategically store mission-critical gear in our network of storage facilities throughout North America. Make certain we raise awareness of these capabilities through media, advertising and sales efforts.

Q: What is the best thing about you or ProLift Rigging that people might not know about?

A: Our best kept secret is that while we are an international company, we are very much also a local company. Our employees and local leadership teams live and work in the cities they serve. We cultivate close relationships with our clients and partners. We support the local communities through donations, volunteerism and other philanthropic endeavors. We participate in local chapters of verticals we serve such as 7×24 (data centers) or SEIA (Solar Energy) just to name a few.

Our growing network exists only to serve the needs of our partners and clients. It allows us to scale our operation for projects of all sizes and allows us to operate efficiently in regions we might not otherwise be able to service. Outside of that utilization, we are a local industrial services company.
